For example, the last few "Power Gem" packs have been jam packed with relatively recent and powerful ultra-rare cards for cheap, but a horrible card like "Jenn, Lotus Spirit" is also considered a "Power Gem" card in other packs. It depends on what a particular pack offers. ![]() If you want 5, the importance of which varies by deck and if you've got any other useful relics, expect to crank through TIer VII multiple times. If you are going deep on the event deck or it is particularly awesome (Domi!) you can try for more, but always remember if it isn't guaranteed you should assume the chance is 0% and be pleasently surprised if you are wrong. ![]() How far into the relic pack should I buy?Īt least Tier 2 every week, this is the best long-term investment you can make. I was drawn in as well and burned many gems on it, but I've learned to resist the urge. I've rarely seen someone get a collection hero before Tier IV, and the overall rewards (even with 500 back) are kind of terrible overall. I do fine only buying the relic pack to T2 (the first guaranteed) each week, and the extra Support Hero (also guaranteed at T2) if it is at least passable (whether you "need" it or not depends entirely on your deck, the week's deck, and so on).īuying the 1120 tier that gives 500 back seems like a good idea, but it rarely pays off. Instead, I would enjoy playing the game with some garbage deck that "only" does a few billion damage (the horror!) until the stars align in some combination of having the collection heroes (or pulling them at low level or with your free 5* pull), the Ultra-Rare being guaranteed, and the deck being very good. I wouldn't even start to try without 100,000, and that is still a significant gamble. How many gems do I need at minimum to obtain the final collection hero to create the really good deck? It usually has the same abilities as the Ultra-Rare but one step better, which may or may not be super important in a given week. The "x13" (x5 after the event) hero you get from completing the collection, which you referred to as the "Final Collection Hero." This week it was Mistress Lunamorph. It is entirely likely you will have to cycle through the steps of Tier VII, perhaps multiple times, to get one. The chance of pulling the Ultra-Rare is very low, so if it is not a week where it is guaranteed to VIPs expect to at least go to Tier VII. This week the Support hero was Lepora, and the Ultra-Rare was Stellar Rabbit. The Ultra-Rare is available from the pack that comes out on Day 1 of an event, which also includes the "Free"/"Support" Hero. Even having 1 or 2 heroes won't make it an easy feat, so I'd strongly recommend seeing what 5* you get from the collection before even trying when you started with 2 of 3 old heroes. You will be gambling on multiple fronts, and literally every week someone is raging on the forums about how it is totally rigged against them because they don't understand how low the chances are (or how iterative probability on a 1:4 draw works). ![]() Additionally, card images for new Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Commander cards will appear in decklists at a later time.)Ĭheck out the gameplay breakdown to learn more about Coven Counters. How can I ensure I will get all 6 event heroes to ultimately get the final collection hero?
